The Kwuna and the Northern Adventure (background)

The Kwuna is the third of the four K Class ferries that currently operate for the Canadian ferry company, BC Ferries. She was built in 1975 by Yarrows Ltd for the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Highways until 1985 when she was transferred to BC Ferries. She operates on BC Ferries' most remote route, linking Skidegate with Alliford Bay. She has three sister ships that operate for BC Ferries and two other sister ships that used to operate for TransLink. The three sister ships that operate for BC Ferries are the Klitsa, the Kahloke and the Kuper. The other two are the Kulleet and the Klatawa.
